A Review of the Samsung Galaxy S
The Samsung Galaxy S is one of the smartphones that are manufactured by Samsung Electronics. Like many other Samsung phones, it is also a wonderful handset with high quality. The phone has excellent connectivity and Wi-Fi capabilities, the latest version of Bluetooth, HSDPA for quick data on the move, motion sensor and GPS. The GPS even comes with Google Maps that offer multi-touch zooming and a free navigation by Google Maps Navigation. The multi-touch support also benefits the browser greatly in reflowing text and fast navigation to smoothly zoom and scroll. The on-screen keyboard is, of course, very essential. The QWERTY keyboard in the Galaxy S allows not only fast but also accurate entry of text in both portrait and landscape modes. The XT9 system enables your phone to predict texts and make corrections. You can customize this system and switch it off as you like.
The Samsung Galaxy S has also incorporated the Swype system, in line with a growing number of Android phones. This is a system that enables you to type while moving your fingers across the keyboard to tie the letters together. However, this system works best with basic entries of texts. It takes some time to master how to use it. All Android phones are equipped with batteries of large capacity, and it is the same with the Samsung Galaxy S. The battery could last relatively long even when you use the phone to play games, but you would need to charge it on a daily basis to ensure it will not run out of power.
The phone has a thickness of 9mm, measures 64 x 122mm and is very light in weight at only 118 grams. It features a 5-megapixel camera at the back and has a chrome finished frame. The phone’s body is built entirely with plastic materials, which might explain why the phone is so lightweight. It has a capacitive 4-inch screen with a 480 x 800 resolution and the display is Super AMOLD. The phone does not have that premium touch since it is built of plastic material. The screen, however, has a silky smoothness that enables one to easily wipe clean. The internal memory of the phone is offered in two models, 8GB and 16GB memory.
Without a doubt, the Samsung Galaxy S is a competitive handset, with a Super AMOLED screen that gives a sensational look to your content, and is a comfortable device to use for both Internet access and entertainment.
